A little more detail
Open any topicWho handles my information, and why?
MYKO is responsible for the order information in our database. We collect the details you submit at checkout or when contacting us, and use them to process orders, arrange delivery, answer questions, and handle returns or refunds. Refund requests may also require e-wallet or payment details.
We process order details to fulfil your purchase and meet applicable legal obligations. Where an activity requires your consent, you can withdraw that consent by contacting us. We may still process information where another lawful basis applies.
Who receives my delivery details?
People handling your order and customer support may access relevant records. Couriers receive the recipient name, address, phone number and shipment details needed to deliver your parcel. Payment or refund providers receive the information needed for the transaction.
When you message us on Facebook, that platform also processes your messages under its own privacy policy. These services may use systems outside our premises or outside the Philippines. Information may also be disclosed where required by law.
How do you protect information stored in-house?
Our primary order database runs on our own in-house server. We limit access to authorized people who need the information for their work and use appropriate physical, organizational and technical safeguards.
Local hosting gives us direct control over the database. Protection also depends on how a server is secured and maintained; no storage method can guarantee zero risk. The in-house statement does not mean that every message, delivery record or third-party service stays on our server.
How long do you keep my information?
We keep order information for as long as it is needed for delivery, customer support, returns and unresolved disputes. Records required for tax, accounting or other legal obligations are kept for the applicable period.
When information is no longer needed and no lawful retention requirement applies, we delete it or remove identifying details. You can contact us to ask which records remain and their retention periods. Deletion requests cover records under our control, including applicable backup copies; we explain any necessary retention and removal timing.
What about website data and other services?
Website functions may use cookies or technical records, such as IP addresses and browser information, to operate checkout and protect the store. If analytics or advertising tools are enabled, they may also process browsing or purchase events using third-party systems.
Hosting our order database in-house does not make these services local. You can ask us about the website tools that apply to your information and exercise any applicable consent or objection rights.
